Chris is the Creative Director for the Portland office of the Mnemonic Agency, where he helps tell brand stories through television commercials, videos, and full campaigns. Previously, he was a Broadcast Copywriter at CB&S/Kroger Advertising. In addition, he has written a variety of feature films, fiction, non-fiction, cartoons, educational materials, and more for a variety of outlets and purposes.

Woodward Heating. They had a wonderful logo/mascot: Woody - and the plan was to use him to create a fun spot that gave an instant read on what Woodward Heating can do: fix your furnace or AC. Matt Taylor did the animation and made these spots perfect.

Customer 1st Campaign - Kroger: Louisville, KY & Fry's Food Stores: Phoenix, AZ
This is a campaign I'm particularly proud of. We interviewed real associates and created a concept on how to show that the commitment to customers transcended department. To do this, we interviewed a number of associates about their specific jobs and experience and "Why it Mattered." We crafted these stories into television commercials, radio spots, short digital videos and more. 

This campaign was directed by Curley Johnson and produced by Howard Kennedy. Concept by Marie Sablan and myself. I've very proud of this one. This is a campaign to highlight the "Customer 1st Promise" and putting customers first. To do this, we focused on the Louisville, KY region where the program was launched. We sent a small crew out to do preliminary interviews, and created a concept based on the type of stories we received. Marie and I focused on the idea of "Why it Matters." That is, what's the real reason that every job in a supermarket is important - from decorating a cake to helping someone find the right cheese. In order to make this as authentic as possible, we asked the experts - the associates.
